Students
are encouraged to start out with Introduction to Agriculture Science. This class teaches the safety rules
of working in the shop or on the farm. Students also learn general FFA information such as who wrote "The FFA Creed", and
when was FFA started.
Students that are interested in plants and wildlife are encouraged to enroll in Plant
and Soil Science (Horticulture). They learn about the parts of the plants as well as the best growing environments
for a plant.
Our school also offers an Agriculture Mechanics class. Students work out in the
shop in this class. They build trailers and independent projects brought from home.
Agriculture
Leadership and Management is another of the classes offered. In Ag. Leadership the kids learn leadership skills as
well as the proper order of the parliamentary procedure. Students are also able to work on scholarship applications, state
degree applications, and their FFA CDE's.
Animal Science is a one semester class where students
learn about wildlife and environment management, identification of animals, and the habitat of animals.
Agriculture
Power and Technology offers kids the time to learn proper welding skills as well as how small gas engines work.
